Open Source Staunton: Got a Hankering for Some Pi?

May 28, 2013, 6:00pm

LightCastle Center, Staunton

Open Source Staunton will be hosting its monthly Meetup.com meeting at 6 p.m. May 28, and will have plenty of Raspberry Pi to feast your eyes on, so don't miss out! The evening will start with food and booze (as always), and will be followed by several presentations about the popular piece of hardware (available for $35). Some of the cool things you can do with a Pi include making your own entertainment computer, make a mini arcade game, or, well, just about anything you can do with a full size computer.

The RPi is a piece of hardware about the size of a credit card that comes with all the power you need to make a computer. Just add monitor, keyboard, mouse and power connection and you're golden. Please RSVP at http://www.meetup.com/Open-Source-Staunton/events/114958792/ so we can know how much food we'll need to get (we're actually seeing about getting some Raspberry Pie, so cross your fingers).

Open Source Staunton focuses on all things open-source in technology, from software to hardware. Join our Meetup.com group for more info about us, or to suggest topics to cover. You can find us at the LightCastle Center for Technological Awesomeness at 21 Middlebrook Ave., Suite 200, Staunton.
