SVTC Oct. luncheon: Drones
Wed., 10/15/2014; 11:30 am - 1:30 pm | Pre-Registration required by 10/10 [$14]

Rob Thompson, a certified commercial pilot, organizer of Shenandoah Drones (MeetUp), technical writer, educator and roboticist will talk about drones. He'll bring a simulator -- a desktop computer hooked into a controller -- so others can try their flying skills without fearing a crash. He will provide a basic presentation on the uses, types and manufacturing technology it takes to build them.

FYI: this luncheon will be well attended, and there is limited space. Unlike our normal routine, it will be held at the Ice House on 127 W. Bruce Street, Harrisonburg. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by 10/10 (because we have to order a lunch for each attendee), and I also recommend pre-paying for the lunch.
